KEKE CREATIVE YOUTH Logo
and T-Shirt Design Contest
With the launch of KEKE CREATIVE YOUTH, a platform for youth volunteers to serve their community, we held an art contest for the organization's logo and t-shirt designs.
Winning designs were used on the fronts and backs of T-shirts and sweatshirts worn by volunteers. Winners were also awarded $300.
Logo Design Winner:
Gloria Yu (Lawrenceville School '26)
Inspired by an infinity symbol, this logo represents our commitment to creating charity art exhibitions filled with love that will inspire lasting change. Our love for art and acts of charity and public service will be filled with vitality as they develop and grow, just like the leaf-like heart in our logo. Our public service will start from Keke Studio (our logo) and spread to the entire world through our students' paintbrushes and acts of kindness.
T-Shirt Design Winners:
Eric Qian (Montgomery High School '26) and Celina Qian (Montgomery High School '28)
I’ve been with Keke studio ever since I was 7 or 8. This art studio has been probably the sole reason I continue to pursue art. Being surrounded by so many talented artists has been something I looked forward to every week. Doing the logo design with my brother was something I decided to do just to show my appreciation for the studio and helping me and many other artist through out the years.
Three finalist designs were selected to be printed on bags, pencil cases, stationary, and other supp used by volunteers. Finalists were each awarded $60.
Finalists:
Gloria Yu (Lawrenceville School '26, Bag)
This graphic design utilizes organic and freeform letterings to highlight the creativity, resilience, and open-mindedness of young artists—traits that allow them to both succeed artistically and serve the wider community. The prominent display of the heart emphasizes love as the crux of Keke Creative Youth’s mission to aid those in need. Featuring a girl in the waves holding up a boat, a boy with his arms open wide, and a paintbrush, the letters on the bottom reiterate Keke Creative Youth’s readiness to embrace and give back to the world with their artistic talents and open hearts.
Limo Dong (Princeton '34, Pencil Case)
I designed this colorful cube with the letters "KE" because I feel like Keke Creative Youth is like a box: you are welcome to open the box to a new creative world.
Xiaohui Zhang (West Windsor Plainsboro High School '27, Stationary)
The logo designed uses the initials "KC" as the main visual element. A leaf symbol is incorporated into the design, symbolizing vitality, growth and youthful vigor. In addition, a star is added to represent inspiration, excellence and mature, confidence. The water flow curve under the letter "C" symbolizes the joyful flow that nourishes all things. The overall design expresses that the young artists of Keke Creative Youth create brilliance with youthful vitality, excellence and confidence, while giving back to the society and embracing the community with love, bringing long-lasting and far-reaching impact.
